Barbara has a long history as a professional health care provider. She has many credentials in allopathic as well as alternative practices, and is passionate about the work she does. Qualifications

Barbara earned her Registered Nursing degree from the California State University over 35 years ago. Prior to her degree, she had been licensed as a Vocational Nurse, as well as having served in the US Navy as a Hospital Corps Wave during the Viet Nam Conflict. She completed professional level massage and body work training in 1997, fulfilling another lifetime goal of healing by touch in addition to her nursing career. Shortly thereafter, she earned Reiki Mastership, and ultimately has become a Reiki Master-Teacher. She has shared her skills with many classes of students over more than 15 years. She was invited to join the faculty of LifeStream Massage School in Napa, California, where she has taught basic massage techniques, reflexology, and an ancient form of Chinese bodywork called Tui Na ("tway na").  She has also become one of a precious few International body workers to learn Advanced Muscle Release Technique from Michael Young in Evergreen, Colorado. Barbara's long-time friend and colleague, Dr. John Leonard, Ph.D. invited Barbara to become one of his very first Certified NeuroBehavioral Pain Control Practitioners. She enjoys her Sheltie named Sasi, and fully supports the therapeutic value of a loving pet. She loves scuba diving in warm, tropical waters whenever possible. Barbara has been diving in the Galapagos Islands; Fiji, in the Sumosumo Straits, on the Rainbow Reef; The Blue Hole of Belize; several sites in Mexico, as well as all along the North and Central Coast of California--near where she calls home. Barbara can often be seen tossing her head back, and laughing out loud, remarking, "This is the best, and happiest, and healthiest time of my WHOLE life--so far."
